147 days since Mammy ( Mimi’s mom) died. Sounds sad doesn’t it? Well thats what I thought when I first saw the book. Mimi’s mom, dies in a bicycle accident and after losing her mom, well, Mimi feels like she lost her dad and her sister as well. While her sister is busy hanging out with her goth friends, Mimi is up in Sally’s ( her sister) room reading her diary! Then of course she has her brother, Conner, who is up in his room banging on his drums. Sometimes all night. Oh, and her dad… yeah well, he doesn’t do much. Other then just sit in his chair and stare out the window.

I liked the book but I just don’t like how sad it was. Some parts weren’t as sad as others and I thought it had a great ending. I would definitely recommend this book to girls ages 10-13.

Trading Faces was an amazing book to read! I loved it!!! It was about twins named Payton & Emma. They are starting their 1st day of 7th grade, and even better……at a real public school, with BOYS!!!!!! They can’t wait…….. until Payton deals with a situation that somehow ends up with her in a janitor’s closet with duct tape and a stinky bucket. Then at lunch when Payton AGAIN embarrases herself which leads to the 1st switch! Will they get caught? Will they fit in? Find out in the book, Trading Faces!

I really enjoyed reading this book because whether it means being popular or being a math geek, they always stick up for each other no matter what!!!!! I would definitely recommend this book to girls ages 10-13. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!!!

Ugh….. School service. That is what Emma and Payton ( the main character twins) get stuck with when they get busted for switching places during their 1st week of middle school. Emma has to tutor two 8-year-old twin boys, and Payton has to clean the stage basement while students rehearse for the play The Wizard of Oz. When the night of the play comes, excitement builds up right when, BOOM…… Something terrible happens….well for some people anyway.

I loved this book, because the twins help each other out no matter what! I couldn’t put the book down!! I would definitely recommend this book to girls, ages 10-13 or even maybe 14 year olds!

When Perry signed up to host a foreign exchange student from Lithuania he was expecting her to be pretty. He was wrong… His family ends up getting a dorky, keep-to-herself girl named Gobi who was always homesick, or so he thought. When their prom night came, she asked Perry if he would take her. Gobi suddenly decided that they should leave, and go somewhere else. As the night went on Perry became suspicious and found out that what Gobi was doing wasn’t exactly touring New York. She was an undercover assassin who came to the United States to avenge her sister, the real Gobi’s life.It turns out that she was really a beautiful, and social person. When the night ended, everyone thought that “Gobi” had died in a bomb explosion. Read the book to find out what happened!!

I loved the book!!! It was so suspenseful and you had no idea what was coming next! I also thought it was pretty cool how the chapters were essay topics from different colleges. My favorite character was “Gobi” because she was really unpredictable, and she loved her family. This book is for the people who love surprises! And remember the book isn’t over ’til Au Revoir!

This book is about a teacher who was a closet. When she asks a kid to get supplies from the closet the kids come out with an animal. One of the kids comes out with a monkey who rides a snowball and does really funny and weird stuff. Another kid came out of the closet with a black bird who will not stop talking! Read this book to find out why the animals are coming out of the closet. I think if you like funny books and books with magic in them, this is the kind of book you would like to read.

My favorite part of the book is that the kids are having such a fun time they don’t even know they are learning.

I read the book “Fetching” and it was awesome!!! The main character, Olivia, goes to live with her grandmother because her parents are divorced. Olivia is, like any other “unpopular” kid, bullied by Brynne. Not pushed around but embarrassed. Rumors and lies about Olivia turns Brynne into the most hated girl by Olivia and her friends. Olivia’s grandmother trains dogs and by going with her grandma, Olivia learns a few things about training dogs. Then she wonders one thing, ” Would this training be able to work on Brynne?”

I loved reading this book! It was great and I couldn’t put it down! I would definitely recommend this book for 6th-8th grade girls because it is based on a group of girls in middle school. Enjoy!!

The Summer Before Boys was a great book for many reasons! For one, Julia’s father gets laid off so when her mom has to find a quick job she chooses to work in the army. “I’ll only be gone 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks in the summer”. Thats what her mother said before she left. But all of her worries about her mother fade, once she lays eyes on her “crush” Michael. Then when Michael texts her and she leaves her best friend Eliza on a trail alone…they have to call the police, neighbors and everyone in the hotel to help find her.

I loved reading this book! It was great and even though it was fiction, the events were so real! Her mother going to Iraq, having her first crush! I hope you enjoy his book! I would recommend this book for girls ages10-13. Enjoy!!!

I just read a great book, it was called Junonia. Now you may have the same question I had when I picked out the book. A Junonia is a rare seashell that Alice ( the main character) tries to find. It’s her 10th birthday and she thinks it would be a wonderful present to actually find one. She talks to her neighbors and one of her older neighbors says that his son found one a long time ago, so why can’t she? Her mom’s best friend has a boyfriend with a daughter (her name is Mallory) and she might just happpen to ruin Alice’s special trip. Will Malllory end up ruining Alice’s 10th birthday? Will Alice find her Junonia? Find out in the book, Junonia.

I loved this book because I love being on the beach and that is exactly where this book takes place! I would definitely recommend this book for 10-13 year olds.

WOW! I just read the book Times Squared and it was amazing! I couldn’t put it down. It is about twins named Payton and Emma. Emma is a ‘math’lete and Payton is part of the drama group. Lucky them, they both get a chance to go to… THE BIG APPLE (NYC)!!!!!! They take a 5 hour bus ride down to New York City and find out half-way there that they get to see an off- broadway show, a special treat from one of their teacher’s friends. Payton thinks it’s a great idea until… she finds out that her enemy is playing the lead role!

I thought that this book was amazing! When I read the book it made me kind of want a twin myself! They were both always there for each other and shared the same memories. I would recommend this book to girls about ages from 10-13.

I just finished reading the book Mo Wren, Lost and Found, and it was great! The main character is named Mo and she has a sister named Dottie. She lives with her father because her mother dies when she is younger. Mo lives on a street called Fox Street, she loves it there. Everybody knows each other, until one day her father puts out the sign and it’s official…4 SALE BY OWNER. They’re moving. Her father has a dream of wanting to own a business and being sucessful! Then money gets tight and things don’t look too good. The day they plan on opening their restaurant…YEEEEOOWWW!!!! Something happens that might change their plans.

I really enjoyed reading this book for many reasons. One of them is because I could relate to the part where she talks about how she misses her friends on Fox Street. When I moved, I missed my friends too, but I found new friends, just like Mo Wren did.
